Hi Abhijit,
Once again thank you for all your advise/guidance in helping me plan my Bhutan trip. I returned to Mumbai on 29th December and have fond memories of the time I spent in Bhutan.
Your advise to visit Coffee House is also much appreciated. I enjoyed our trip there and also got a chance to experiment with some delicious Bengali sweets at a shop nearby.
Our train to Hasimara on 19th December was delayed by an hour. So we got our permits in Phuentsholing by 3pm. Our journey to Thimphu was a bit rough given that we could not manage motion sickness so it was tough for us till we reached there. The next day onwards it was good as we got a chance to rest and acclimatize ourselves to the climate there. It was very cold in all the places, especially phobjikha but it is fun doing these kind of trips in winter as you get some experience of snowfall too. The country looks beautiful in winter and we experienced snow flakes at Buddha Point in Thimphu.
I loved Dochula Pass and we were lucky to see all the peaks as we went up only towards noon. We had lunch at the Dochula Pass hotel and I remember the food to be really tasty and economical.
Phobjikha is a beautiful valley and the only other place I have seen which is equally beautiful is the Nubra valley in Ladakh. Have you been there?
Enjoyed Chelela too but it was really windy at that time to stay up for a long time. Enjoyed it nevertheless.
Our stay in all the places was also good.
On the return leg, due to fog, the Kanchenkanya express was really late. Luckily we got down at Dakshineshwar and rushed to the airport else we would have missed our flight. I wish I had got more time to see Kolkata and to eat some more sweets but maybe next time I will devote an entire day to see the city.
All in all it was a great trip. Thanks very much once again for all your help. This trip would not have been so enjoyable without your precious advise.

Hi Abhijit,
We came back from our Sikkim trip on 31st. I was thinking of writing to you since coming back, but finally got the chance only today.
We stayed at Shivam hotel as per your suggestion. I must say, the hotel is pretty decent. Although there were a few minor glitches like unavailability of water and fuse blown up on the first day, we were pretty satisfied by the service of the hotel staff. They provided us with multiple buckets of hot water, and tried to fix the fuse even at 12 in the night. The staff was extremely polite and eager to serve. The food was palatable and reasonably priced. The view from the 2nd floor balcony was also quite good.
Finally, I would like to thank you for all the help and support that you have provided us. It has been a pleasure speaking to you, and I express my heartfelt gratitude for your kind co-operation in helping us with our trip plan.
Hi Abhijit
I just cant thank you enough for your recommending me to Sikkim.
I didn’t manage to go to Dooars as planed but I extended my stay at Gangtok and Darjeeling. I had a great time in both places and was totally fascinated, beautiful places and beautiful people. The kindness and the hospitality i received from the people of Gangtok and Darjeeling were unforgettable.
In Gangtok, I managed to visit Tsamgo Lake, and took an extra trip to Lachung, Yumthang Valley, It was heavenly. Darjeeling was equally great. I managed to walk through the hills and streets in the town centre with the help of my hotel staff.
Your recommendation and advise have certainly been a great help to me. Also many thanks for your patience in giving me advise and amending the itinerary according to my preference.
Keep it up and continue your the work. 🙂
.Take care and all the best.
Thank you so much Mei Ling. Appreciations are always encouraging. Please stay tuned for latest updates.
Hi abhijit
Thank you so much for the detailed and prompt help you extended to me on my various queries regarding Sikkim,Darjeeling and bhutan.
You have made my decision so easy
I thank you and hope you continue to travel extensively so as to get great inputs from you in future as well
Keep it up
I rate you 5star
Thank you so much for the appreciation
Hi Abhijit
I came back from trip to Sikkim last week and I must say that your guidance and inputs helped me make almost perfect itinerary. Best part of the itinerary was North Sikkim tour especially Gurudongmar lake which I planned only after chat with you. Thanks a ton for the help.
It had snowed in northern part of Sikkim 2 days before we visited and hence we got to see lot of snow. However, downside was that we did not see much of flowers in Yumthung valley.
Hotel Shibam at Gangtok was good and most of the hotels that we stayed in were good except that staff at Pelling hotel (Namselling hotel) were quite rude. Only downside of the entire trip was charges for north sikkim trip and taxi charges for Gangtok to Pelling and Nathula day trip. I had arranged these thru Mr Binoy Kol of Shibam hotel and he had promised good rates to me but after going there I realised that they charged me thru nose despite making the bookings more than 3 months in advance. Learning for future trip is never ever make any travel arrangements thru hotel.
Overall, I enjoyed my trip and once again thank you for the inputs and help.
Thanks,
Anupam
Hi Anupam,
Thank you so much for the appreciation but I really feel bad when you are not satisfied with the car hire charges. I will surely have a talk with Mr. Tito regarding this. Actually the car rates are never fixed, it changes with time and demand.
Hi Abhijit,
It is to thank you for all the help you provided in planning our trip to Shillong. I am back from our trip which was really nice and enjoyable. The scenic beauty in Mawlynlong and Mawsynram as you said is really breath taking. Without your suggestions we would have really missed these 2 places. Cherrapunjee was amazing too. We also loved the hotel you suggested. Thanks again for all the tips and help. I will surely disturb you soon again for my next trip.
Thank you Arpita for the appreciation. I really feel happy when a travellers enjoys and appreciates my tips and suggestions. Mawlynlong, Mawsynram and Cherrapunjee are really nature’s paradise. I knew that you would surely love the places.
Abhijit, we are back from our Sikkim trip. Kaluk and Richenpong as you suggested were superb places. We loved the serenity there. The nature walk from Kaluk to Richenpong as you suggested was superb and the scenic view all around was really breath taking. The east Sikkim was amazing, specially the journey from Lingtam to Gangtok along the Silk route. Hotel Shivam resort in Gangtok and Silk Route Resort in Lingtam was very good. The location was good and the staffs were very good too. We really enjoyed our trip. Thank you so much for all your help.

Hi Guys!
If you want to cover Gangtok, Pelling and north Sikkim, I feel the budget per head is too low. If you are on a tight budget, you can cover Gangtok and Pelling this time or Gangtok and North Sikkim (Lachen and Lachung). It is better if you skip 1 place for the sake of he tight budget. For your information, Gangtok will need minimum 3 nights, north Sikkim will need 2 nights min. and Pelling will need 2 nights too. Plan accordingly. You can mail me or call me directly. My mail-id “uvreachedavi@gmail.com”.
Coming back here to thank Abhijit for his relentless efforts, his energy and his efficient way of doing constant follow-ups on my on-coming Sikkim tour.!
Your valuable tips helped me a lot about planning my trip. Thanks again.!

Hi, this is Dr Deepali Gupta, from Thane, Maharashtra, I and my husband had been to north east trip last month in fact it was 28days trip where we tried covering most of the possible places.
The planning of the trip was started almost more than 4 months ago, where we went through all possible blogs and articles which gave us information about minutest details of the places. In that process of planning the trip we also spoke to many people who guided us to make our trip more memorable where in I would specially like to mention about Mr Abhijit Gupta, who up frontally shared his valuable time and guided us. With his help I made some changes to make the trip comfortable, he guided was as to how many days it will take to complete particular state ,transportation details as we were travelling alone so it made our trip convenient and feasible as well . He was always open to chat on whatsapp and solved smallest query we had.
We covered following states and places –
West Bengal -Darjeeling, Siliguri
Sikkim-south Sikkim, east Sikkim, north Sikkim, gangtok.
Meghalaya -mawlynnong and dawki , cheerapungi, mawphlong etc
Assam – kamakhya temple,kaziranga,majuli village,tezpur etc
Arunachal Pradesh –Tawang
Nagaland – Horn bill festival
Mr Abhijit Gupta ,had also mentioned that it will be too short time for covering so many places which i really agree now as there are many more things still to be touched by us .
Thanks Mr Abhijit Gupta for ur uconditional help.
